The cell is a 2000 science fiction psychological horror film directed by tarsem singh in his directorial debut, and starring jennifer lopez, vince vaughn, and vincent d'onofriothe film follows scientists as they use experimental technology to enter the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to locate where he has hidden his latest kidnap victim. Cell's biggest issue is it's obviously meagre budget vs it's ambition and ideas it's a very weird film, with some strange, funny moments and some surprisingly moments of levity and beauty.

Cell is not a very good movie the book - more of a novella than a standard king-length novel - was a decent sort of thriller i didn't interpret the book as decrying the evils of cell phones / technology, but rather an interesting allegory for anything that's ubiquitous. Directed by tim iacofano. with tessie santiago, chris bruno, frank whaley, bart johnson. the cusp is a serial killer who kills his victims and then brings them back to life - over and over, until they beg to die. psychic, maya is an investigator who gained her powers after being in a 1 year coma, caused by being the cusp's first victim. now the cusp's is back, and with no time for perpetration.
